“Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again” is the famous first line in iambic hexameter in this beautiful and dark classic novel. We never learn our heroine’s name, so overshadowed is she by Rebecca, her husband’s beautiful, perfect, deceased first wife. Not everything, or everyone, is as they seem.
Highly recommend to all readers.
